About Investors Beyond Borders
In 2009, a vision was created for an organization that creates public-private partnerships among investors, governments, education institutions and energy experts from different academic, economic and cultural backgrounds worldwide, to focus on developing the global energy industry. The result was the birth of Investors Beyond Borders.
Headquartered at the University of Toronto Mississauga in Ontario, Canada, Investors Beyond Borders today has rapidly grown into an international non-profit organization with affiliates across four (4) continents. Composed with some of the world’s best leaders our mission is to work with our network and partners to discover, educate, develop and implement sustainable energy solutions and projects.
Our biyearly International Renewable Energy Case Competition (IRECC) has become the world’s largest case competition dedicated to assessing and pinpointing new locations with undiscovered investment and development opportunities in clean energy. (More on the IRECC)
There are four (4) main components to the structure and organization of Investors Beyond Borders. These include the executives who are active within Investors Beyond Borders’ various committees and have operational responsibilities, the Board of Advisors who advise the organization on its undertakings and decisions, the researchers and our international and local network of members.
